524 P23 Hold Up/Down Spring Kit

Used to change a #524P23 Cane Bolt into either a #524P23SPU Spring Hold Up or #524P23SPD Spring Hold Down assembly.

Purpose:
Used to change a #524P21 Cane Bolt into either a #524P21SPU Spring Hold Up or #524P21SPD Spring Hold Down assembly.

Function:
To either keep the cane bolt engaged or disengaged with the floor keeper. The hold-up option keeps the cane bolt up and NOT engaged with the floor keeper to prevent the cane bolt from dragging when opening/closing a door or gate. The hold-down option keeps the cane bolt down and engaged with the floor keeper. One must lift and overcome the downward force of the spring to disengage the cane bolt to open/close a door or gate.

• Padlock to be supplied by others. Padlock specification requirements are Maximum Shackle Diameter: 1/2", Minimum Vertical Clear: 1-3/4", Minimum Horizontal Clear: 1".
