#1262 Vertical Lift or Swing-Up Craneway Door Operators
The #1262 Aut-o-doR electric operator is designed for large vertical lift and crane way doors. When used with lift doors, the operator is mounted high above the opening and operates the door by a loop of roller chain. For swing-up crane way door operation, it is mounted on the superstructure above and to the inside of the opening. A horizontal drive shaft is used, to which a number of chain drive sprockets are attached. The chains running on these sprockets are attached on one end to the door and at the other end to a vertical rod which is also attached to the door. The chains hold the door in the open position, while the vertical rods push against the door in the closed position to counteract wind pressure.
The Number 1262 operators are sized to meet the requirements of the specific application. Up to and including 1 hp they can be furnished for single or three-phase operation. However, three-phase current is highly recommended for best performance. The Number 1262 operators are available with operating speeds of 45 or 60 feet per minute (9 to 12 inches per second).
